QMO leads retooling session for internal accreditors
The University Quality Management Office (QMO) spearheaded “Enhancing Expertise: Retooling Session for Internal Accreditors” at the UNP Tadena Hall on August 8-9, 2024.
The retooling session is essential for maintaining education quality, adapting to change in higher education, and supporting institutional effectiveness and improvement, ensuring that the University remains competitive and capable in meeting the needs and expectation of students, faculty, and external stakeholders.
Seasoned accreditors were the resource speakers on the ten areas of program accreditation. They were Dr. Necy Cesaria Romo (Area I: Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives), Dr. Mario Obrero (Area II: Faculty), Dr. Luzviminda Relon (Area III: Curriculum and Instruction), Dr. Eva Marie Avila (Area IV: Support to Students), and Dr. Marlou Savella (Area V: Research)
On the second day, the spealers were Dr. Marites Duquinal (Area VI: Extension and Community Involvement), Dr. Leilani Basa (Area VII: Library), Dr. Nelia Verzosa (Area VIII: Physical Plants and Facilities), Dr. Marjorie Dafun (Area IX: Laboratories), and Engr. Joselito Totaan (Area X: Administration).
Internal accreditation process is crucial for educational institutions aiming to maintain and enhance the quality of their programs. It aims to ensure compliance with both internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
