Demonstrating technical expertise in high-stakes event operations, the College of Communication and Information Technology of the University of Northern Philippines delivered real-time tabulation services during the Miss San Vicente 2026 pageant on April 28 at the San Vicente Gymnasium, a highlight of the San Vicente Muebles Festival 2026 celebration.
The team was led by Dr. Richard Arruejo and comprised a distinguished group of experts, including Dr. Mariano Romano, Dr. Rogelio Rabena, Dr. Arpee Arruejo, and Dr. Bryan Irvin J. Lamarca, alongside Professors May Evelia Ruadap, Ade John Gestole, Gian Paolo Martin Cabanas, and Leo Angelou Baja, as well as Mr. Ferino Gem Madriaga and Ms. Ramsel Bernice Infanta—collectively bringing a wealth of expertise and professionalism to the undertaking.
The initiative streamlined an accurate live scoring system, enabling judges’ scores to be encoded and reflected instantly allowing for fast and transparent results. Despite issues such as technical glitches, the team stayed steady and reliable, ensuring the timely release of final results while reflecting CCIT’s integrity and commitment in reinforcing the importance of digital innovation in enhancing the credibility and efficiency of tabulation processes.
