UNP, CCITNHS strengthen ties through MOA signing, network rehabilitation

The University of Northern Philippines (UNP), through the College of Communication and Information Technology (CCIT), formalized its partnership with Candon City Information Technology National High School (CCITNHS) through the signing of memorandum of agreement (MOA) on March 26 at Candon City, Ilocos Sur. The event also marked the start of CCITNHS’s network infrastructure rehabilitation.

Present during the signing were Dr. Fatima Rocamora, Vice President for Research and Extension Services; May Evella Ruadap of the Extension Services Office; Dr. Alejandro Haboc, Jr., CCITNHS Principal; and Ms. Liza Toquero, Head Teacher. The ceremony was witnessed by CCIT faculty led by Dean Rosanne Agup and CCITNHS faculty and staff.

Following the MOA signing was the rehabilitation of CCITNHS’s network led by Prof. Mariano Romano Jr., Program Head of the Diploma in Computer Technology (DCT), together with the DCT core faculty. The initiative aimed to improve the school’s digital infrastructure through system upgrades, cybersecurity enhancements, and optimized connectivity.

This collaboration aligns with UNP’s commitment to extending its expertise to partner institutions, ensuring better learning opportunities and technological advancement for students and faculty.
