The University of Northern Philippines College of Engineering (UNP-CoE) honored its newly licensed civil and sanitary engineers during a Testimonial Luncheon held on May 28, 2026 at the UNP Tadena Hall.

Carrying the theme, “Forged Through Excellence, Licensed for Service,” the event celebrated the success of graduates who passed the January 2026 Sanitary Engineer Licensure Examination and the March 2026 Civil Engineer Licensure Examination.

The gathering brought together university officials and faculty members in recognition of the board passers’ hard work and dedication. The program began with a Thanksgiving mass followed by the testimonial luncheon.

Dr. Nelia Verzosa, Dean of the College of Engineering, welcomed the honorees as she also welcomed them into the engineering profession. She encouraged the newly licensed engineers to uphold excellence and dedication as they begin their professional journeys.

Engr. Nestor Pajaro of the UNP Federated Alumni Association also delivered his message, congratulating the honorees for their remarkable achievement and encouraged them to become responsible and competent professionals in the field of engineering.

Dr. Rolando Navarro, Vice President for Academic Affairs, stressed the importance of gratitude among the successful examinees, reminding them to remain humble and appreciative of the countless blessings, unwavering support, and valuable opportunities that paved the way for their triumph in the licensure examinations. He emphasized that their achievement was not solely the result of individual effort, but also a reflection of the guidance, encouragement, and sacrifices of the people and institutions that stood behind them throughout their academic journey.

One of the highlights of the event was the awarding of certificates of recognition to the successful examinees. The ceremony acknowledged the achievements of the new engineers who brought pride and honor to the university through their outstanding performance in their respective licensure examinations. Testimonies from newly licensed engineers also inspired the audience as they reflected on their struggles, perseverance, and journey toward earning their professional licenses.

The testimonial luncheon served not only as a celebration of academic success but also as a reminder of the UNP College of Engineering’s commitment to produce competent, service-oriented, and globally competitive professionals.
