UNP CTE-LS students bag medals at Regional STEM Week

Six students from the University of Northern Philippines (UNP) College of Teacher Education-Laboratory Schools (CTE-LS) emerged victorious at the 2025 STEM Week Celebration held at the Philippine Science High School-Ilocos Region Campus (PSHS-IRC) on February 20.

In the Chemistry Olympiad, John Adrian Ulita claimed the 1st place award, while Liam Nathaniel Ferrer secured 2nd place. Kiefer Liu Rabena and Samantha Erian Arguelles won in the Egg Transport competition, earning 2nd place, the students were under the guidance of Mr. John Christian Bagasala.

Jaslhan Neo Lazaro demonstrated his dexterity in the Keyboard Sprint, also securing 2nd place, coached by Jethro Raphael Panela. Pearl Jamin Lopez displayed her writing prowess in the STEM Essay Writing Competition, earning 3rd place under the mentorship of Ms. Shiela Manlangit. Brittany Cherish Hidalgo secured 3rd place in the Vocal Solo competition, coached by Mr. Israel Quadra.

The STEM Week celebration is an annual event held by the PSHS-IRC, which celebrates innovation and creativity of young learners from public and private high schools, with each event tackling the pressing issues of climate change.
