The University of Northern Philippines Faculty Union celebrated its Faculty Union Day with a vibrant Hawaiian-themed gathering that brought sunshine, smiles, and strong camaraderie among the faculty.
The eventβs highlights included the FU Got Talent and Best Dressed competitions, judged by an esteemed panel composed of Maβam Lapaz Eulalia Aquino, Dr. Richard Daskeo, Ms. Reisa Estavillo, Ms. Marie Grace Jaramilla, and Mr. Leo Naidas.
Stealing the spotlight with his outstanding performance, Fitch Voy Tumbaga took 1st place in FU Got Talent, followed by Joshua Regalado (2nd) and Justin Viernes (3rd). Meanwhile, the islandβs most stylish faculty members graced the runway with flair. Calvin Klein Blanco was hailed 1st place in the male Best Dressed category, followed by George Philip Amano (2nd) and Ruperto Corpuz (3rd). For the female category, Valerie Romero claimed 1st place, with Romely Teano (2nd) and Shela Lee Pascua (3rd).
Adding a fun and unforgettable twist, University President Dr. Erwin Cadorna and VP for Academic Affairs Rolando Navarro wowed the audience with their impressive intermission song numbers, proving once again that UNP leaders can both lead and entertain.
Faculty achievers were recognized and awarded with certificates and cash incentives for their exemplary accomplishments and contributions.
Aside from the exciting competitions, faculty members also enjoyed self-care treats including manicure/pedicure, haircut, and massage, as tokens of appreciation for their tireless service and commitment.
Indeed, the Faculty Union Day was more than just a day of fun. It was a celebration of hard work, heart, and the unbreakable bond that makes UNP not just an institution, but a family.
