The University of Northern Philippines (UNP), through the College of Communication and Information Technology (CCIT), forged a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Lipit National High School (LNHS) on March 20 at LNHS, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur. The event included an orientation on the use of the Tabulation System, aimed at promoting efficiency in data processing and digital literacy.

Representing the university were Prof. Randall Rabacal, Coordinator for Research Dissemination and Advocacy, Prof. Jevie Abella, Coordinator for Social and Community Services. Also present were Prof. Rogelio Rabena, College Extension Coordinator, Prof. Maribel Tacla, College Assistant Dean and other CCIT faculty members. Representing LNHS were its faculty and staff, led by Head Teacher Mr. Ma. Chito Agbulos.

Following the MOA signing, Dr. Richard Arruejo, CCIT Faculty conducted an orientation on the Automated Tabulation System, demonstrating its features, functions and benefits.

Mr. Agbulos welcomed the partnership, highlighting its positive impact on the school’s operations. He expressed optimism about the collaboration, emphasizing that it would pave the way for more initiatives benefiting both teachers and students.

This partnership reinforces CCIT’s commitment to digital transformation, innovation, and community service, ensuring educational institutions adapt to modern technological advancements.
