UNP, SNHS strengthen partnership with Capacity Development Training and MOA Signing

The University of Northern Philippines (UNP) and Sinait National High School officially strengthened their partnership on February 14, 2025, through the “B.U.S.I.N.E.S.S. IN THE Communities” program. The event, held at Sinait National High School, Ricudo, Sinait, Ilocos Sur, featured capacity-building sessions and the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

The activity aimed to enhance collaboration between the two institutions, equipping stakeholders with essential skills for their holistic development. It also highlighted the university’s role in promoting sustainable development through education, capacity-building, and community engagement.

Vice President for Research and Extension, Dr. Fatima Rocamora and Prof. May Evelia Ruadap led the event, setting the tone for a day of collaboration and shared learning.

In her opening message, Dr. Eileen Rose Paculan, the project coordinator, emphasized the importance of the partnership in fostering sustainable academic and community development.

The training featured a keynote session by Ms. Mary Ann Dela Cruz, who provided insights into effective program management and strategies for long-term impact. The interactive sessions were facilitated by Mr. Kelvin Charls Abella, Mr. Geofed Jhon Ngayaan, and Atty. Jayson Rapisura, who guided discussions and ensured an engaging experience for participants.

Mr. Mark Louie Battad served as the event documenter, while Mr. Keith Ian Astom served as moderator for the sessions to maintain a smooth program flow.

The MOA signing ceremony marked the culmination of the day’s activities, formalizing the strengthened collaboration between UNP and Sinait National High School. This partnership reflects both institutions’ commitment to empowering communities through education and capacity development.

The university remains dedicated to fostering meaningful partnerships and initiatives that promote academic excellence and community sustainability.
