In celebration of National Women’s Month 2025, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Ilocos Sur 1st District Engineering Office took a significant step in promoting a healthier work environment by conducting a seminar on prioritizing mental health in the workplace on March 26, 2025 at Bantay, Ilocos Sur. The event, held in collaboration with the University of Northern Philippines, aimed to support women in the workforce and foster a culture of mental well-being.
Ms. Alexandria Blake Cay Real-Pisalbo, Psychology instructor of UNP, led the employees to engage in thought-provoking discussions on mental resilience, emotional intelligence, and workplace support systems tailored to the unique challenges faced by women. The seminar underscored the importance of prioritizing mental health, not just as a necessity, but as a responsibility.
By advocating mental health awareness, gender equality, and a workplace culture where everyone flourishes, the DPWH Ilocos Sur 1st District Engineering Office and the University of Northern Philippines demonstrate their commitment to creating a more productive, compassionate, and resilient workforce.
