The All U.P. Workers Union visited the University of Northern Philippines today, June 18, 2026 for a meeting to discuss concerns affecting administrative employees and to strengthen ties between the union and the university. The union aims to build a stronger relationship between the Non-Teaching Employees Union of the university while opening discussion on matters involving the welfare, rights, and working conditions of administrative employees in state universities and colleges.
The said union was represented by Mr. Clodualdo Cabrera, National Executive Vice President, Ms. Sonia Lumbre, National Treasurer, along with Ms. Francisca Vera Cruz, Ms. Merilyn Berdin, Mr. Romeo De La Cruz, Ms. Jimoa Alicante, and Ms. Connie Marquina. The UNP Non-Teaching Employees Union led by Atty. Gerwin Rabang, President, alongside with Mr. Robinson Tolio, Treasurer and Ms. Antonina Lazaro, Secretary, welcomed the delegation.
The said meeting provided a venue for exchanging insights, experiences, and best practices that may help improve programs for workers’ welfare.
Both unions expressed confidence that the engagement will help reinforce unity and mutual understanding, leading to initiatives that would benefit administrative personnel and the university community in general.
