The Technological University of the Philippines conducted a benchmarking initiative at the University of Northern Philippines, this morning, November 26, 2024 at the Quality Management Office. This event aimed to share experiences and insights that can enhance the quality of services in both institutions.

The TUP Team was headed by Engr. Glenn Ortiz, Assistant Director, academic affairs, along with the department heads including, Dr. Heherson Ramos, Dr. Norway Pangan, Engr. Raymund Lozada, Dr. June Raymund Mariano, Mr. Ivan Ray Ancero, program coordinator and Dr. Rico Santos, research head.

Dr. Irene Abigail Guerrero, officer-in-charge of the University Information Office, welcomed the TUP team, expressing UNP’s delight in hosting them. She emphasized that TUP’s presence represents a significant opportunity for both institutions to engage in meaningful exchanges of best practices.

During the event, presentations were made by Engr. Franklin Amistad, Assistant Dean, CoE, Dr. Christy Venezuela, Program Head, Envi-Sci, and Dr. Roseanne Agup, Dean, CCIT. They provided overviews of their respective program offerings, focusing on aspects such as internationalization, program assessment and evaluation, board exam interventions, best practices in research and extension, among other initiatives.

Dr. Remedios Navarro, Dean, CAS, Dr. Jill Ann Parada and May Evelia Ruadap, CAS faculty, Dr. Eva Marie Avila, Director, QMO, Engr. Rio Costales, and Engr. San Diego, CoE faculty, were also present.

Through this initiative, it can foster an environment of continuous improvement and innovation. The TUP Team and the UNP personnel present is looking forward to build lasting partnerships that will benefit both institutions and neighboring communities as well.
