HRMO re-orients non-teaching personnel on stress management

 

The Human Resource Management Office held a seminar on stress management and achieving work-life balance in the workplace for the non-teaching personnel at the University Hostel on September 20, 2024.

Dr. Erwin Cadorna, University President, emphasized in his message the importance of discussing stress management, saying that “this is a key in finding an approach to avoid, reduce and manage stress of personnel to achieve productivity in the workplace. Inability to manage stress affect our outputs and efficiency in performing our functions.”

VP Albert Tejero said in his message that “each one face challenges in work and in private lives and there is a need to be re-oriented to manage stress.” He told the first group which composed of 50 participants from function and academic offices that a next batch will also be attending the same seminar.

Lecturers during the seminar were Ms. Kristina Camille Pacris-Quitevis, faculty member of the BS Psychology program, who talked on coping with stress in the workplace, and Dr. Marifel Quemi Acena, head of UNP’s Guidance and Counselling & Information and Orientation Services, who discussed building a positive relationship in the workplace through the PERMA model way.

The seminar was organized through the head of HRMO, Mrs. Jane Leones, together with Ms. Antonina Lazaro and Mr. Raymart Tablante (HRMO personnel).
