The University of Northern Philippines (UNP) and Three Lions Education Group, Inc. formalized a partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on October 15, 2024. The signing took place at the Three Lions Group office located in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

This collaboration aimed to enhance the educational experience of UNP graduates and those currently enrolled students by providing opportunities for paid internships in the fields of hospitality, tourism, and culinary arts. The partnership is designed to equip students with practical skills and deeper industry insights.

Through this MoU, UNP shall allow and assist Three Lions to conduct yearly orientation, provide necessary facilities, post promotional materials, and endorse interested applicants for the internship program.

On the other hand, Three Lions shall provide the UNP applicants with program orientation, all necessary documents for their visa application, free departure orientation, provide dedicated program coordinator, ensure safe working environment for the applicant, and facilitate the issuance of Certificate of Completion by the Program Sponsor.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Erwin Cadorna, President of UNP, and Roden Santos Mama. Dr. Blessie Cabanting, Dean of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM), served as witness. This partnership not only aims to enhance student employability but also strengthens the ties between academic institutions and industries.
