UNP signs MOA with PAMET, Redcross
Marking a significant step in strengthening relationships and fostering future collaborations, the University of Northern Philippines through the College of Health Sciences solidified its commitment to collaborative excellence by signing a Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET) and Philippine Red Cross (PRC) – Ilocos Sur Chapter, at the UNP Auditorium on January 23, 2025.
The MOA signing was attended by Dr. Erwin Cadorna, UNP President; Dr. Rolando Navarro, VP for Academic Affairs; Mr. Albert Tejero, VP for Finance and Administration; Dr. Joussie Bermio, CHS Dean; Prof. Alfredo Corpuz, CHS Assistant Dean; Mr. Ace Danielle Avero, Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science Program Head; Mr. Ferdinand Cabilan, PAMET – Ilocos Sur Chapter President; Ms. Veronica Tactay, Chapter Administrator of PRC Ilocos Sur; Ms. Susana Lacaden, Chief Medical Technologist of Ilocos Sur Provincial Hospital – Gabriela Silang Clinical Laboratory, Prof. Sherwin Alvaro, BSMLS Internship Coordinator, and BSMLS faculty members.
This partnership aims to create a framework for more productive projects and collaborations, enhancing the educational experience for UNP-CHS-BSMLS students and benefiting the wider community. The institutions involved are committed to working together to achieve shared goals and contribute to the advancement of medical laboratory science in the region.
