The University of Northern Philippines clinched the last gold medal in the SCUAA 2025 esports tournament, defeating Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) 3-1 in the Call of Duty: Mobile Men’s Category.
UNP started strong, dominating early rounds with precise coordination and aggressive plays. MMSU managed to take a round, but UNP responded with calculated rotations and clutch eliminations to seal the victory.
Representing UNP were Paul Aized Collado, Jenn Mark Maribbay, Neil Algren Rafael, Angelo Medrano, Kyle Cedric Purisima, and Kento Rea, with coaches Christian Paul Bueno, Mark Allan Veriña, Lee Robin Rafal, Alberto Cuevas Jr., and Joshua Puller guiding them.
With this win, UNP closed the esports competition with three gold medals and one bronze, earning a ticket to the national tournament.
