CN equips BSN students for licensure success

The University of Northern Philippines College of Nursing successfully conducted its highly anticipated Mock Board Examination 2025 for fourth year nursing students on April 24 and 25 at the UNP Gymnasium.

This two-day simulation served as a comprehensive rehearsal for the actual Nurse Licensure Examination, providing graduating students with a realistic and rigorous testing experience. The initiative, designed to evaluate students’ mastery of nursing theories, clinical reasoning, and decision-making skills under exam-like pressure, closely mirroring the conditions of the official board exam.

The mock examination offered dual benefits: it functioned as both an academic assessment and a practical exposure to the formal testing environment. Faculty members utilized the results to pinpoint areas where students demonstrated strong competencies and to identify topics needing further attention during final review sessions. For students, the experience was invaluable in practicing effective time management and acclimating to the formalities of the licensure exam, which helped alleviate anxiety and boost confidence ahead of the actual test.

This activity is a testament of UNP’s broader commitment to nurturing competent, confident, and board-ready nursing professionals. The event emphasized the university’s dedication to academic excellence and the professional development of its students.

With the successful completion of the Mock Board Examination, UNP has taken a significant step toward ensuring its nursing graduates are thoroughly prepared to meet the demands of the healthcare industry and to excel in the national licensure examination.
