UNP reaffirms quality education with six programs re-accredited by AACCUP

The University of Northern Philippines has once again proven its commitment to academic excellence, securing re-accreditation for six of its academic programs from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), further strengthening its position as a top-performing institution in the region.

Following a thorough evaluation process, four undergraduate and two graduate programs were recognized for meeting high standards in higher education. The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Interior Design, Library and Information Science, and Sanitary Engineering programs were awarded Level III Re-accredited status, valid from April 1, 2025, to March 15, 2029. Meanwhile, the Doctor of Education and Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling programs achieved Level IV Re-accredited status, valid until March 31, 2030.

These new accreditations affirm UNP’s dedication to delivering high-quality, relevant, and competitive education. Level III programs demonstrate strength in instruction, faculty development, curriculum improvement, and community extension services. In contrast, Level IV highlights excellence in research, graduate performance, global linkages, and strategic planning.

This achievement is made possible through the collective dedication and teamwork of UNP’s faculty, program heads, administrative staff, and university leaders, whose shared pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement continue to drive the institution forward.

Looking ahead, the university remains committed to developing ethical, skilled, and future-ready professionals. These re-accreditations further solidify UNP’s position as a leading educational institution in Northern Luzon and the country. UNP continues to shape graduates ready to contribute to education, science, design, public health, and counseling, building a stronger future for communities it serves.
