In a profound effort to strengthen the moral compass of education, the Faculty Union (FU), Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA), and Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration (OVPFAD) collaborated to spearhead the Moral Re-engineering Program – PROJECT RAISE: “Reaffirming Accountability, Integrity and Service in Education: Lifting Academic Excellence through Moral Responsibility.”
The program brought together faculty members and guest speakers in a transformative gathering that underscored the indispensable role of moral responsibility in shaping true academic excellence.
The program brought together faculty members and guest speakers in a transformative gathering that underscored the indispensable role of moral responsibility in shaping true academic excellence.
Delivering the keynote message, VP Rolando Navarro called on the academic community to embrace accountability, integrity, and service as non-negotiable virtues in education. He reminded everyone that education without moral grounding risks losing its purpose and urged faculty members to align their work with the noblest ideals of the profession.
The sessions that followed, led by Rev. Fr. Florentino E. Escalona and Rev. Surtalicito “Sur” del Rosario, proved to be both inspiring and transformative for the entire UNP community. Speaking passionately on self-awareness, personal growth, integrity, and leadership, they challenged faculty members to reflect deeply on their own values and the ethical standards that guide their actions.
More than a discussion, these sessions served as a call to action for moral responsibility, emphasizing that the strength of UNP lies not only in academic excellence but also in the character and integrity of its people. The dialogues sparked meaningful reflection on how principled leadership and ethical decision-making can drive positive change within the university and beyond.
By the end of the program, participants left with a renewed sense of purpose and committed to upholding UNP’s mission of fostering a community where personal growth, professional excellence, and moral integrity coexist to create leaders who inspire and serve with impact.
By uniting academic leaders and faculty members, the initiative symbolized the University’s collective commitment to nurturing a culture of accountability and integrity as cornerstones of its vision for excellence.
