The University of Northern Philippines concluded its five-day Online Accreditation Survey Visit on September 26, 2025, at Tadena Hall, marking the completion of the evaluation for three College of Teacher Education programs: the Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED), Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNED), and Master of Arts in Technology and Livelihood Education major in Home Economics (MATLE-HE), all undergoing Level I accreditation.
Dr. Sherrilyn B. Quintos of Bataan Peninsula State University, together with team leaders Dr. Romulo B. Mercado, Jr. of Bulacan State University (MATLE-HE), Dr. Zhania U. Custodio of Philippine Normal University (BSNED), and Dr. Sherina D. Dimo of West Visayas State University (BPED), delivered their impressions. They commended UNP for its thorough preparations, strong teamwork, and evident commitment to quality service. The evaluators particularly praised the University’s library resources and instructional delivery, while also providing constructive feedback on strengthening research and extension initiatives to further elevate academic impact.
Representing UNP President Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna, VP for Finance and Administration Mr. Albert Tejero delivered the Statement of Commitment, emphasizing that accreditation is not mere compliance but a reaffirmation of UNP’s mission to provide innovative and socially responsive education.
In her closing remarks, Dr. Eva Marie C. Avila, Director of the Quality Management Office, expressed gratitude to the AACCUP team for their fair and comprehensive evaluation, and to the UNP community for their dedication and collaboration.
The visit reaffirmed UNP’s commitment to continuous improvement and to producing competent, ethical, and socially responsible graduates ready to lead meaningful change in society.
