The Floro S. Crisologo Lecture Series was held on October 18, 2025, at Tadena Hall, highlighting the theme “Embracing Inclusive Education as a Cornerstone of Educational Excellence for the Next Millennium.”

University of Northern Philippines President Dr. Erwin Cadorna delivered an insightful and reflective message that resonated deeply with the event’s theme. He emphasized that the University’s mission transcends the traditional bounds of instruction—it is also about ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to thrive. Dr. Cadorna reminded the participats that UNP’s pursuit of academic distinction must go hand in hand with inclusivity, asserting that “excellence without inclusion is incomplete; inclusion without excellence is unfinished.” His message reinforced the university’s steadfast commitment to providing transformative and inclusive education that prepares learners to meet the challenges of the next millennium.
Dr. Rolando P. Navarro, Vice President for Academic Affairs, gave his inspiring remarks that underscored the importance of fostering a culture of innovation and inclusivity in higher education. Atty. Carmelita Joy Crisologo, in her message, presented the historical overview of the University of Northern Philippines, tracing its humble beginnings, institutional milestones, and the visionary leadership that has guided its growth through the years. She highlighted the university’s transformation from a small provincial college into a leading center of higher education in Northern Luzon, anchored on its mission to serve the people through instruction, research, and community engagement. Guest speaker Dr. Teresita Tabaog, Regional Director of the Department of Science and Technology and member of the UNP Board of Regents, delivered an engaging and thought-provoking lecture on the theme.
In her address, Dr. Tabaog emphasized that inclusivity is not merely an educational ideal but a necessary foundation for achieving long-term academic excellence and societal progress.
