The College of Communication and Information Technology of the University of Northern Philippines showcased its expertise in live event management by providing real-time tabulation services for the Miss Caoayan 2025 pageant. The event, a highlight of the Rambak Pardas Caoayan Festival 2025, took place on November 16 at the Isidoro P. Querubin Gymnasium, drawing an enthusiastic audience eager to witness the crowning of this year’s festival queen.
The tabulation team, ensuring accurate and transparent results, was spearheaded by Dr. Richard Arruejo as the lead tabulator. He was joined by a distinguished group of professionals, including Dr. Rogelio Rabena, Dr. Mariano Romano, Dr. Harold Costales, Dr. Honey Girl Avo, Dr. Arpee Arreujo, alongside Professors Maribel Tacla, Ade John Gestole, Leo Agelou Baja, Paul Nikko Quilana, and Mr. Ferino Gem Madriaga. Together, the team upheld the integrity of the event’s scoring and contributed to the smooth execution of the pageant’s competitive proceedings.
Their involvement was a key component of Project CONNECT, the College of Communication and Information Technology’s flagship community extension program. Designed to enhance the university’s outreach, the initiative leverages technology-driven solutions to support and empower partner communities, fostering stronger ties and meaningful collaboration between the university and the public it serves.
