CTECH brings 3D Modeling and Printing Workshop to SNHS STEM Students

The College of Technology, through its BS Mechatronics and Automation Technology (BSMAT) Program, conducted a two-day hands-on training workshop on 3D modeling and 3D printing for STEM students at Sinait National High School (SNHS) on December 1 and 2, 2025. The activity aimed to enhance students’ technological skills by guiding them from creating digital models to producing actual 3D printed outputs.

Leading the workshop were BSMAT faculty members who served as resource speakers: Dr. Julius Moises Albalos, Dean of the College of Technology; Engr. John Jericho Arquines; Ms. Theresa Patrice Lucero; and Engr. Princess Joy Espejo. They provided lectures and demonstrations on 3D design fundamentals, software tools, and proper operation of 3D printers. Assisting the team as facilitators were Assistant Dean Dr. Allan Guillermo and Mr. TrinivicLlanes, ensuring the smooth coordination of the sessions. Documentation of the activity was handled by Dr. Mario Reotutar.

Supporting the faculty were BSMAT student facilitators Ms. Maria Angela Edilyn Yadao, Mr. Tom Manalang, and Mr. Dodie Yasaña, who guided participants during the practical exercises and helped troubleshoot technical concerns.

The SNHS community warmly welcomed the College of Technology team, led by School Principal Dr. Marisa Valoria and Assistant School Principal Dr. Salome Ubarre Jr. STEM teachers Mr. Patrick John Concepcion, Mr. Charles Salcedo, Mr. Keith Guzman, and Ms. Niña May Arrocena assisted in organizing the learners and ensuring their active participation.

By the end of the workshop, students successfully produced their own 3D printed output. The activity enabled students to develop introductory skills in 3D design and printing, which they can apply in future research activities, particularly in the fabrication of prototypes for STEM-related projects.
