The University of Northern Philippines has bolstered its global partnerships by officially joining the Philippine-Canada Education Consortium for International Collaborative Partnerships on Innovations for Inclusive Global Engagements (PhilCan EduCon Infin8 Network). The strategic alliance was formalized during a ceremonial signing on December 9, 2025, at Hotel Tropicana, Cavite State University in Indang, Cavite, marking a significant step in UNP’s commitment to international collaboration and educational innovation.
UNP President Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna was lauded for his pivotal role in the ceremonial signing, an event marking a significant step in strengthening ties between Philippine and Canadian universities. The partnership agreement embodies a shared vision among member institutions to advance inclusive education, foster collaborative research, and drive initiatives in priority fields identified by the network. By formalizing this alliance, the universities reaffirmed their commitment to creating innovative, globally connected learning opportunities and to addressing pressing educational and societal challenges through joint programs and initiatives.
In a significant recognition of its commitment to international collaboration, the University of Northern Philippines received a Certificate of Partnership as an official network member of the PhilCan EduCon Infin8 Network.
The accolade affirms UNP’s active role in fostering collaborative programs, research initiatives, and knowledge exchange across a wide range of disciplines.
