The BA Political Science Program of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Northern Philippines reached a defining academic milestone as it successfully held its 3rd Black Coating and Pinning Ceremony on December 12, 2025 at the UNP Gymnasium, uniting students, faculty, parents, alumni, and invited guests in a dignified celebration of excellence, commitment, and the formation of future professionals.
Emphasizing the importance of the milestone, the ceremony was marked by an inspiring address from the guest speaker, Atty. Kenneth Del Rosario Diaz, who imparted valuable insights on public service, ethical leadership, and the profound responsibilities that come with the study and practice of Political Science. He encouraged students to uphold integrity, accountability, and commitment as they prepare for future roles in governance and public life.
Program representatives further stressed that the Black Coating and Pinning Ceremony transcends mere tradition, serving as a symbolic affirmation of the BA Political Science Program’s mission to develop critical thinkers with a deep understanding of political systems and dedication to service. The activity likewise highlighted the collective efforts of faculty members, administrators, and institutional stakeholders whose guidance and support play a vital role in molding graduates who are both academically competent and socially responsible.
