UNP, LGU-Santo Domingo ink MOA for ALISTO SDO Livelihood Project

The University of Northern Philippines-College of Teacher Education (UNP-CTE) solidified its partnership with LGU- Santo Domingo on March 26, 2026, at the Sangguniang Bayan Hall.

Through its University Extension Office, BTVTED, and BTLEd programs, UNP launched “ALISTO SDO: Advancing Livelihood and Innovation through Sustainable Training for OTOP Product Development.” Initiated by Mr. Marnie Tabilin and Mr. Arthur Pascua, following its needs assessment survey on March 06, 2026, which identified the need for livelihood and agricultural-based training.

The event, “Seeds of Partnership,” featured an MOA signing with VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Rolando Navarro, CTE Dean Dr. Ma. Teresa Susan Manzano, and Mayor Hon. Annea Cassandra De Leon. Dean Manzano stressed education’s role in community growth, while the mayor vowed sustained LGU support.

A symbolic turnover marked the collaboration’s start, followed by Karabasa Farming Session 101. Farmers learned basics, varieties, and productivity tips from experts.

Sangguniang Bayan Member Michael Emili Figueras closed with thanks to UNP, underscoring its community commitment.

This effort boosts sustainable livelihoods, institutional ties, and empowerment in Santo Domingo.
