Sirmata Class of 2026 marches to 32nd CN Clinical Graduation Ceremonies

The Sirmata Class of 2026 of the University of Northern Philippines-College of Nursing (UNP-CN) marched with pride to the 32nd Clinical Graduation held at UNP Gymnasium on May 5.

Culminating their medical duties and achievements are the 195 clinical graduates, including six (6) Master of Arts in Nursing and 189 Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

The ceremony opened with a solemn processional as graduates, joined by their families, CN faculty and staff, and university officials led by University President Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna. In his message, Dr. Cadorna sent the new nurses forward with a resounding call to purpose, declaring, “The world is waiting for you, and you are ready for the world,” emphasizing their vital role and readiness to serve in the demanding field of nursing and healthcare.

“May you continue to redefine care wherever your path takes you,” Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Rolando B. Navarro urged the graduates, as he delivered his message of wisdom and inspiration.

The program was highlighted by the keynote address of Dr. Allen O. Cudiamat, who delivered a compelling message to the clinical graduates, urging them to recognize that “every interaction is an opportunity.” He emphasized the vital impact of their presence in moments of crisis, reminding them that their actions, no matter how small, can shape outcomes and save lives.

‎After series of inspirational messages, the awarding of merits—varying from different areas of their nursing journey and co-curricular involvements followed.

Dianne Tolentino, hailed as the Carmeling Pichay Crisologo Most Outstanding Student Nurse of the Year, delivered a stirring message to the CN class of 2026, urging her fellow graduates to anchor their journey in authenticity and courage. As they prepare to step into the demanding landscape of professional nursing, Tolentino challenged them to “choose to be real, choose to be brave,” emphasizing that genuine compassion and fearless commitment will define their impact in the field.

The clinical graduation ceremonies culminated in a stirring and symbolic finale as graduates raised their voices in unison to “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman—a powerful anthem of identity, resilience, and self-worth. The performance echoed the collective journey of the future nurses, capturing both their struggles and triumphs, and sealing the event with a resounding declaration of purpose as they step into the demands of the healthcare profession.
