Balaleng Elementary and DLH Commit to Educational Excellence

Celebrating past successes and envisioning a brighter future, Balaleng Elementary School and the Department of Languages and Humanities of the Collage of Arts and Sciences of the University of Northern Philippines renewed their partnership to build stronger foundations for learning and leadership. Held on April 3, 2025, under UNP’s Adopt-a-School program, this collaboration continues to promote key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including quality education, gender equality, sustainable communities, and development partnerships.

During the signing ceremony, Mrs. Emelita Arizabal, Balaleng Elementary School Principal; Mrs. Maylin Jaramillo, PTA President; and Dr. Remigio Obrero, Assistant Head of CAS and the Faculty of DLH, celebrated the success of the partnership and unveiled new initiatives. These initiatives include enhanced teacher training programs, student enrichment activities, and community engagement projects designed to foster broader collaboration with parents and local stakeholders. The renewed agreement underscores a vision for sustainable educational progress that uplifts both educators and learners.

Representatives from both institutions expressed optimism for the continued growth and impact of this partnership, which will be monitored through regular assessments to ensure its effectiveness.
