UNP Shark’s Ivin Angel Baquiran gave an outstanding performance in the Men’s Singles Semifinals at the 2025 NSCUAA games at Camiguin on April 25.
Despite facing a tough loss to Region 5. Baquiran started strong, taking the first set 21-16 with impressive footwork and precision. However, R5 rallied back, winning the second set 17-21 and then clinching the match with a 21-18 win in the final set.
Though Baquiran’s semifinal exit was a heartbreaking moment, his determination and grit on the court did not go unnoticed. Coach Florence Dela Cruz expressed optimism about Baquiran’s future, noting that his strong performance is just the beginning — a promising preview of what could be a standout showing in the next SCUAA meet.
