The Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) program, together with the Master of Arts in Teaching Physical Education (MAT-PE) and the Physical Education and Arts Dynamic Developers and Enthusiast Club (PADDEC), conducted the WIN Sport Project: Wellness Inclusion Nurturing Sports, a two-day extension program promoting aquatic skills, fitness, and community wellness held on November 21–22, 2025 at Puro Elementary School and Vista Sul Mare Resort in Puro, Magsingal.
The event, themed “Race to the Finish: Build the Base, Sustaining the Form,” gathered teachers, coaches, and young learners for structured swimming lessons focusing on stroke development, endurance building, water safety, and personalized coaching. The program aimed to enhance participants’ physical fitness and water confidence while strengthening teaching competencies among educators.
The activity supported both beginners and more advanced swimmers. Participants engaged in sessions intended to improve coordination, discipline, teamwork, leadership, and overall swimming performance. Organizers emphasized that the effort aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4: Quality Education, by advocating for active lifestyles, safety awareness, and inclusive, quality sports instruction.
This initiative also helped identify potential competitive swimmers and foster a culture of resilience and sportsmanship among the youth. Many participants left with increased confidence and a deeper appreciation for swimming not only as a sport but as a vital life-saving skill.
