BS Midwifery Program undergoes Level II Accreditation

The Bachelor of Science in Midwifery program officially commences its Level II Accreditation on May 4, 2026, via online platform. As a top-performing program, BS Midwifery undertakes this accreditation process to further strengthen its quality assurance efforts and sustain its strong performance in the Midwifery Licensure Examinations.

The accreditation team is led by Prof. Cheryline D. Allama of Ifugao State University, together with  Dr. Shelley T. Pascual of Cagayan State University, and Dr. Russel B. Dolendo of Benguet State University. The team’s expertise ensures a careful and objective review of the program’s compliance with established standards.

The opening program was attended by key institutional stakeholders, including VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Rolando B. Navarro; VP for Research and Extension, Dr. Fatima Rocamorra; VP for Finance and Administration, Mr. Albert Tejero; the Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Dr. Joussie B. Bermio; the Program Head, Ms. Lowie Lynette Basconsillo; faculty members; and internal accreditors.

In his opening message, Dr. Navarro, emphasized that accreditation goes beyond compliance and serves as an opportunity to reflect and improve. He noted that the process serves as a key moment to assess both program quality and institutional commitment to excellence, highlighting that improvement is continuous and requires sustained effort.

This accreditation marks only the beginning of a wider effort to further enhance program quality. With a renewed sense of direction, the Bachelor of Science in Midwifery program looks ahead with confidence. Guided by the insights of the accreditors and the collective commitment of the institution, the program aims to reach even greater heights. The closing meeting is scheduled on May 7, 2026.
