The University of Northern Philippines, through the Student Welfare Services Office – Career Job Placement and Alumni Services (SWSO-CJPAS), strengthened its employment partnership with the provincial government during the 13th One Ilocos Sur Job Fair at the Chavit Coliseum on May 1, 2026.
Under the banner “Synergy in Service: UNP Alumni in Collaboration for the 13th One Ilocos Sur Job Fair,” the SWSO-CJPAS team led by Dr. Marifel Q. Acena and Assistant Head Ms. Deborah Jaena Reyno-Reoliquio conducted recruitment activities, screened applicants, and received resumes from job seekers across the province. The initiative reinforced UNP’s role in connecting graduates and professionals with employment opportunities.
The program also mobilized the UNP Federated Alumni Association through President Hon. Nestor Pajaro, strengthening alumni participation in career development initiatives and public service engagement. In coordination with the provincial administration, the alumni network and SWSO-CJPAS advanced a unified employment effort focused on workforce access and regional economic growth. The job fair facilitated networking, career consultation, and on-the-spot hiring while advancing UNP’s mission of producing globally competitive graduates responsive to the development priorities of Ilocos Sur.
