BSEHS students undergo safety and survival trainings

The Bachelor of Science in Emergency Health Services Level III conducted its Basic Ropemanship, Standard Rappelling, and, Water Safety and Survival Trainings on March 26 – 28, 2025.

These trainings were part of their Mass Casualty Incident subject spearheaded by their instructors. The goal of these specialty trainings was to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to handle special situations in the prehospital setting.

The Basic Ropemanship and Standard Rappelling sessions which was facilitated by FO3 Kendrick John L Rosario, FO2 Mark Revin James C Rugnao, F01 Carl John V Andallo, F01 Rendell Ruth G Bose, F01 Dhading A Arrojo, F01 Jimmy A Donato Jr, and F01 Chester Q Pimentel of the Bureau of Fire Protection Vigan City.

Mr. Jordan Soria, Mr. Jairus Tabaco, Mr Romie Arizabal, Mr Mark Jay Oria led the training on Water Safety and Survival and facilitated by Mrs. Lorena Darisan, Mrs. Adora Velasco, Mr. Mark Christian Arizala, Mr. Greg Quilana, Ms. Lea Jane Patubo, Ms. Hanjie Mae Sabugo, and Ms. Hanah Yvette Racacho, who are all faculty members of the College of Health Sciences, Bachelor of Science in Emergency Health Services program.

The activity would not be possible without the support of the UNP Administration led by the supportive President Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna, as well as the CHS Administration under leadership of Dr. Joussie B. Bermio, Dean; Prof. Alfredo V. Corpuz, Assistant Dean; Prof. Maria Yolanda R. Aquino, Program Head; and Prof, Leila Sylvia F. Bautista, RLE Coordinator.
