The Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science of the University of Northern Philippines held its Baccalaureate Mass and 9th Commencement Exercises for AY 2022-2023 with the theme, “Revolutionizing the Medical Technology Profession & Education through Internationalization & Globalization,” on April 26, 2024 at the UNP Gymnasium.

Dr. Luzviminda P. Relon, Director for Instruction and Faculty Development, represented the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Rolando B. Navarro, in leading the hooding ceremony for the graduates.

The Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Dr. Joussie B. Bermio, presented the 87 BSMLS candidates and announced that six of them would be awarded cum laude. Meanwhile, University President Erwin F. Cadorna conferred the degree.

Moreover, Dr. Pio Ferdinand Lamarca, the vice president of the UNP Federated Alumni Association, delivered his inspirational message to the graduates and highlighted the importance of the medical technology profession in the field of medicine.

The commencement speaker, Atty. Adrian Noel O. Plete, a BSMLS graduate of the pioneer batch in 2015, gave his inspiring words and emphasized the three factors to success: passion, perseverance, and power of consistency.

The presentation of honor graduates, special awards, and distribution of diplomas was graced by the University President, Vice Presidents, Board of Regents, Registrar, Dean, and Asst. Dean of the College of Health Sciences.

Mr. Dan Christian P. Blance, the class valedictorian of Batch Salukag, gave his valediction, focusing on the trip down memory lane of his entire college journey and shared his plans for future endeavors.
