CAS promotes scientific literacy and cultural heritage at Pantay Tamurong National High

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) conducted a research dissemination titled, “Fostering Education, Natural Sciences, and Ilocano Cultural Research” at Pantay Tamurong National High School on November 19, 2024. This event aimed to enhance scientific literacy, improve educational practices, and promote the preservation of Ilocano cultural traditions within the province.

The event sought to deepen the community’s knowledge of natural sciences, which is essential for fostering a scientifically literate society. Emphasizing the importance of cultural heritage, the event included discussions on how to preserve and celebrate Ilocano traditions amidst modern challenges. By sharing research findings and best practices, the initiative aimed to elevate educational standards and methodologies in local schools.

The program was designed not only to disseminate knowledge but also to empower community members. It encouraged active participation in lifelong learning and appreciation for cultural heritage. With the engagement of local stakeholders, CAS demonstrated its commitment in fostering a collaborative environment where education and culture coexist harmoniously.
