UEO join forces with CBAA for hands-on entrepreneurial training

To bolster entrepreneurial skills within the community, the University Extension Office (UEO), in collaboration with the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) and the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) program, successfully conducted a specialized skills training on meat processing, focusing on embutido making.

The training, hosted at Naglaoa-an National High School, drew a diverse group of participants, including NNHS faculty, parents, and aspiring entrepreneurs.

The event was anchored by two speakers who brought both expertise and practical knowledge to the table. Ms. Mary Ann Dela Cruz, BSA program head, led the session with a lecture on product cost management and pricing strategy.

Her presentation was specifically designed for those interested in embutido production, equipping attendees with vital skills to effectively manage costs and set competitive prices, essential for establishing a successful food business.

Complementing the lecture, Ms. Roselyn Alan delivered a hands-on demonstration of embutido making. Participants actively engaged in the step-by-step process, gaining practical experience in crafting this beloved Filipino dish. The hands-on approach ensured that attendees not only learned the craft behind embutido production but also acquired the skills necessary to produce it themselves.

This training is part of the ongoing commitment of UEO, CBAA, and the BSA program to nurture entrepreneurship and business acumen among students and community members alike.
