CBAA kicks off Business Week with Grand Opening Ceremony
The College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) of the University of Northern Philippines (UNP) officially commenced its much-anticipated Business Week through a ceremonial ribbon cutting at the Founder’s Plaza, yesterday, March 24. With the theme, “From Tradition to Transformation: Revolutionizing Business through Culture and Innovation,” the event aims to highlight the fusion of heritage and modernity in shaping the future of business.
CBAA students, faculty, and staff gathered for the occasion, marking the beginning of a week-long celebration dedicated to entrepreneurship, leadership, and industry trends. Mr. Marvil Cortez, Governor of the Organization of Business Administration Students, warmly welcomed participants and underscored the significance of Business Week in accentuating creativity and business acumen among students.
University President Dr. Erwin Cadorna delivered an inspirational message, emphasizing the role of higher education in equipping future business leaders with both traditional wisdom and innovative strategies. Meanwhile, Director H.A. Zaldy Zapata, Provincial Director of the Department of Trade and Industry, highlighted the importance of local enterprises in economic development and encouraged students to embrace innovation while preserving cultural values.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony signaled the start of a series of activities, including business forums, product exhibits, competitions, and workshops designed to enrich students’ knowledge and skills in business and entrepreneurship.
With a strong commitment to bridging tradition and innovation, UNP CBAA continues to cultivate a dynamic learning environment that prepares students to navigate the evolving business landscape. Business Week promises to be an enriching experience, championing collaboration, creativity, and excellence in the field of business.
“Every year, we celebrate business week, and every time we do, I’m always amazed at the creativity of students. This only affirms quality education in the university,” Dr. Erwin Tolbe, the Dean, asserted.
