The College of Communication and Information Technology (CCIT) formalized its partnership with Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary (ICMS) through a Memorandum of Agreement following a two-day training workshop conducted on
November 27–28, 2025, in Ayusan Sur, Vigan City.
The MOA signing was attended by CCIT faculty led by Prof. Maribel Tacla, Assistant Dean of the College, with support from Ms. Jevie Abella of the University Extension Office, together with ICMS faculty and staff headed by Rector Erwin Echalas. The training focused on Office Productivity Tools and Canva, equipping ICMS faculty and staff with practical skills in digital productivity applications. Sessions were delivered by Dr. Mariano Romano on Microsoft PowerPoint, Mr. Joel Fabillaran on Microsoft Publisher, Dr. Harold Costales on Canva, and Prof. Maribel Tacla on Microsoft Excel.
The activity was facilitated by Dr. Jennyfer Alasaas, Mr. Daryl Buen, Mr. Leo Angelou Baja, Mr. Angelito Ramos, Dr. Arpee Arruejo, Ms. Caren Kate Cubon, Mr. Joel Morales, Dr. Bryan Irvin Lamarca, and Dr. Rogelio Rabena. The partnership and training form part of Project CONNECT, CCIT’s extension initiative aimed at delivering technology-driven capacity-building programs to partner institutions and communities.
