CCJE Holds Crime Photography Seminar-Workshop

The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) conducted a seminar-workshop on Crime Scene Photography on August 16, 2025 at the CCJE Function Hall.

Organized by the Master of Science in Criminal Justice (MSCJ) with Specialization in Criminology Program under the supervision of Dr. Marlow Pacapac, program head of graduate studies, the seminar attended by MSCJ students featured guest lecturer PEMS Arnel Panis Roque, of Baguio City Forensic Unit.

The activity is designed to address the pressing need for skilled crime scene photographers in law enforcement and related profession. It also aimed to equip Science of Criminalistics students with a deeper understanding of forensic photography techniques and the essential standards for photographs to be admissible as evidence in court. It further highlighted the direct impact of photographic clarity on case outcomes, legal reviews, and evidence interpretation.

This is in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) #4 to promote a quality education and SDG #16, in promoting peaceful and inclusive societies, in providing access to justice, and in building effective institutions.

The dean of CCJE is Dr. Sina Bestre.
