UNP joins 124th Philippine Civil Service anniversary vibrant vibe run

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) celebrated its 124th anniversary through a nationwide simultaneous Vibe Run: Takbo para sa mga Servant Heroes, a lively color fun run held on September 1, 2024. The event aimed to promote camaraderie among government employees and inspire public servants to prioritize their health and wellness.

Runners enjoyed fun warm-up exercise and swayed to a Zumba dance medley to energize their bodies before the race.

Ilocos Sur Governor Jeremias “Jerry” Singson delivered a welcome speech, and formally opened the Vibe Run. He reiterated that it symbolizes the strong, efficient, and compassionate government workforce.

To create an enjoyable and memorable experience, colorful powder was thrown in the air, adding a festive flair to the run. The colors used in the run held special meanings: blue for peace, violet for resilience, and red for bravery. These colors represented the core values and qualities that public servants strive to embody in their service to the nation.

The 124th PCSA celebration is aligned with the aspirations and goals of Ambisyon Natin 2040, which envisions a Philippines with a stable and comfortable life protected by a clean, efficient, and fair government.

Achieving this vision requires cultivating a force of forward-thinking public servants who can balance organizational performance with economic, environmental, and social impacts on future generations.

UNPians’ participation in the Vibe Run truly speaks of our drive and camaraderie in promoting health and wellness and aligning with the nation’s long-term goals: to build a stronger, more efficient, and future-ready government workforce.
