The University of Northern Philippines – College of Engineering proudly celebrated the achievements of its students and faculty in Pammadayaw 2025, held last May 15, 2025, at the UNP Gymnasium. Themed “COE: Building Foundations, Mapping Journeys, Reaping Triumphs,” the annual recognition ceremony honored the hard work, perseverance, and excellence within the college.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Nelia Verzosa, Dean of the College of Engineering, reminded students that true success goes beyond awards. “Let this Pammadayaw be a reminder that success isn’t just measured by medals or certificates, but by the courage to keep learning, growing, and believing in the strength of your own journey,” she said.
Also present at the event were Hon. Engr. Nestor Pajaro, President of the UNP Federated Alumni Association, Dr. Rolando Navarro, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Engr. Jake Mark David, President of the PSSE Region I Chapter. A major highlight was the awarding ceremonies, where outstanding students from first to third year were recognized as Dean’s Listers. Minor awards, diligence in studies awards, and academic distinctions were also distributed by university officials and program heads.
The graduating students were especially honored for reaching a significant milestone. All graduates received their certificates of completion, marking the successful end of their academic journey and celebrating their dedication, resilience, and accomplishments throughout their college years.
Assistant Dean Engr. Gaylord A. Frando delivered the closing remarks, expressing pride in the achievements of both students and faculty. “Pammadayaw 2025” stood as a fitting tribute to the commitment, excellence, and leadership embodied by the UNP College of Engineering.
