COE holds PAFA General Assembly

The University of Northern Philippines College of Engineering (UNP-COE) held its Parents and Faculty Association (PAFA) General Assembly on September 20, 2025, at the College of Technology Function Hall. The event aimed to strengthen collaboration between parents and faculty in supporting student development and advancing the college’s goals.

Dr. Nelia Verzosa, COE Dean, highlighted the importance of the partnership between parents and faculty in guiding students’ academic and professional growth. She also thanked the association for their continuous support and valuable contributions to the college’s programs, activities, and projects.

During the assembly, several reports were presented to ensure transparency and update members on PAFA’s initiatives. Mrs. Annabelle Madriaga, PAFA President, delivered the President’s Report, while Engr. Jennifer Guzmani, PAFA Treasurer, shared the Treasurer’s Report. Additionally, Engr. Rio Nico Costales presented the association’s Constitution and Bylaws.

An open forum followed, providing an opportunity for participants to raise questions and exchange ideas, further enhancing the engagement between parents and faculty. The assembly also conducted elections to fill vacant officer positions, ensuring continued leadership and representation within PAFA.

Engr. Gaylord Frando, Assistant Dean of COE, expressed his gratitude for the active participation of both parents and faculty. The event not only served as a venue for reporting and decision-making but also reaffirmed the strong partnership that supports the College of Engineering community.
