Vincent Ray F. Alvarez of the College of Medicine (CMed) and Gabrielle May I. Arcebal of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) were crowned Mr. and Ms. UNP Diamond 2025 during the coronation night held at the UNP Gymnasium on October 11, 2025. Outshining 34 candidates from various colleges, they earned not only the main titles but also multiple special awards, with Alvarez receiving recognitions such as Mr. Amian Cafe, Emvia Real Estate, Old Soul Cafe, But First Coffee, 1995 Studio Cafe, and Congeniality, while Arcebal took home Ms. Emvia Real Estate, But First Coffee, and Best in Production Number.
The event was a highlight of the University of Northern Philippines’ 60th Foundation Anniversary, emphasizing youth empowerment and the true meaning of beauty as defined by purpose, intelligence, and compassion. UNP President Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna praised the candidates for embodying the university’s contemporary spirit—self-assured, socially courteous, and driven by purpose.
UNP Student Council President Jake Axel Tacadena echoed these sentiments, highlighting the pageant as a platform for body positivity, empowerment, and celebration of excellence.
Runners-up included Jason B. Unthayanon of the College of Engineering and Geraldine Kylie del Castillo of the College of Arts and Sciences as 1st runner-up, and Mark Aeron B. Jacildo and Louisa Victoria T. Viña of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy as 2nd runner-up. Alvarez and Arcebal captivated the audience through the swimsuit, evening gown, and formal wear rounds, feeling honored by the moment and grateful for the overwhelming support throughout their journey.
