CTech empowers faculty and charts bold path for new BIndTech program launch

In a decisive step toward academic innovation and institutional readiness, the College of Technology conducted a three-day team building and curriculum review program on December 10–12, 2025, bringing together faculty members to strengthen collaboration and strategically prepare for the launch of a new academic offering.

Held in Alaminos, Pangasinan, the activity served as both a professional development initiative and a forward-looking planning session, providing a platform for faculty to align instructional goals, assess curricular directions, and respond proactively to upcoming academic reforms. The program was spearheaded by College Dean Dr. Julius Moises Albalos, whose leadership underscored the College’s commitment to cohesive teamwork, instructional excellence, and sustained relevance in an evolving educational landscape.

The team-building component of the program was deliberately structured to further enhance communication, teamwork, and professional cooperation among faculty members, emphasizing the importance of strong interpersonal relationships in achieving academic excellence and institutional effectiveness. A series of interactive and reflective activities were facilitated by Ms. Sarah Alcayaga and Ms. Ma. Winselda Realin of the Guidance and Counseling Services Office, drawing on their expertise in organizational development and group dynamics.

The activities emphasized trust-building, open communication, and shared accountability, allowing participants to reflect on individual roles while strengthening collective responsibility within the College. Faculty members engaged in exercises that encouraged collaboration, problem-solving, and mutual support, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. The session also provided a valuable platform for participants to reconnect, address challenges constructively, and align personal and professional values with the College’s goals, ultimately reinforcing a culture of cooperation, resilience, and continuous improvement.

The curriculum review and enhancement sessions equipped faculty members with the academic grounding and instructional strategies necessary for the effective delivery of the new Bachelor of Industrial Technology (BIndTech) program. Through collaborative evaluation and refinement of course offerings, faculty ensured alignment with industry standards and emerging technological demands. The program, which offers majors in Automotive, Electrical, and Electronics Technology, is set to be officially launched in the first semester of School Year 2026–2027, marking a significant step in expanding the University’s technology-oriented academic portfolio.
