The University of Northern Philippines’ Department of Languages and Humanities made an impact at Guimod Elementary School by creating a vibrant mural that embodies the school values. Dubbed as “Pictures of Life on the Wall: Mural Painting”, the activity was held on February 27 and March 8, 2025, It aimed to bring art to the school’s walls while reinforcing important school values and its aspirational vision.

Prof. Allen Magdaleno De Vera, DLH head, underlined that murals not only beautify the environment but also serve as powerful tools to communicate the values and goals of the institution.

This extension activity reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to community involvement and the integration of the arts into education, enhancing both the academic and cultural experiences of the students. It also underscores the overarching objectives of the university and reflects its commitment to engaging with the community and fostering holistic development through creative expression.
