The initiative titled, “Math-tuto Ka sa Natural na Siyensya: MaSCIyang Kapaskuhan: Cultivating a Spirit of Culture of Generosity” took place on December 13, 2024, at Vigan National High School-East, Nagsangalan, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. Spearheaded by the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (DMNS), this unique event blended the festive spirit of Christmas with the celebration of science and culture.

The program aimed to foster generosity, community engagement, and cultural appreciation through science-inspired gift-giving and meaningful interactions within the high school community. Students and teachers participated in activities that highlighted the importance of sharing knowledge, promoting unity, and embracing diverse cultural traditions.

By integrating science with the season’s themes of giving and togetherness, the event underscored the role of education in nurturing compassionate and culturally-aware individuals. This one-of-a-kind celebration left participants with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper appreciation for both science and the spirit of the holidays.
