Geodetic engineering mentor declared outstanding

Engr. Saturnino Tablada has been declared the Most Outstanding Geodetic Engineer in the Academe during the 38th North Luzon Area Assembly (NLAC).

This stature is based on one’s personal achievement, participation in the activities of the NLAC, and achievement in the field of specialization.

The NLAC is the administrative body of geodetic engineers. It focuses on the welfare of its members, continuing professional development programs, and outreach programs.

“For me, this award is phenomenal. With regard to honor, I only represented the academe. I owe this award to God, to UNP, and the community,” he shared.

He has been a licensed geodetic engineer since 1987. As faculty member of the Geodetic Engineering program since 1997, Engr. Tablada has trained numerous engineers. As the former officer-in-charge of the Office of the Dean, he also conducted relief operations during typhoons, in collaboration with the College’s student organizations, and spearheaded free reviews for the licensure examination.

More importantly, he has been serving the NLAC as a lecturer in its annual conventions and the University as member of the Technical Working Group for its Land Use Infrastructure Development Plan. He is also a member of the committee on the University’s application in the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking which focuses on green campus and environmental sustainability.

“This award is a manifestation that a humble man is indeed making room for progress. Your diligence and dedication in the realm of academics are the foundation of this achievement. In line with your brilliant methods and visions, we must say that our program is in good hands. We are beyond proud of what you have achieved. May you continue to share your wit and highly logical knowledge to your students which will encourage them to value humility,” the Agrimensores Club of Geodetic Engineering students posted.
