BSBA-HRDM program delivers consultancy activity to Baluarte Zoo Foundation
The College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) through its Bachelor of Science in Business Administration–Human Resource Development Management (BSBA-HRDM) program, conducted a consultancy session with the Baluarte Zoo Foundation on October 17, 2024. This initiative aimed to enhance the zoo’s human resource management practices, offering strategic guidance and support.
The extension service was spearheaded by Dr. Princess Neptalia R. Quebral, HRDM program chair, with coordination from Dr. Eileen Rose Q. Paculan, the college extension coordinator. The consultancy team included key faculty members Dr. Glenn Paul Briones, Mr. John Wilbert P. Madriaga, and Mr. Richard Paul Martin, who all played pivotal roles in assessing and addressing the zoo’s human resource challenges.
The Human Resource Students’ Association of the Philippines (HRSAP)–UNP Chapter actively participated in the event, with all officers assisting in the facilitation of the consultancy activity.
Mr. Emman Trevor A. Quilala and Mr. John Paul Robert T. Marzan also contributed to the consultancy by documenting the event and facilitating various aspects of the service.
During the activity, participants were briefed on the fundamentals of effective human resource management. Dr. Quebral led a comprehensive inquiry into the zoo’s existing HR practices, fostering an engaging exchange of ideas between the consultants and the zoo’s staff. Key findings from the discussions were synthesized, and actionable recommendations were provided by the consultants.
One participant expressed appreciation for the consultancy, stating, “The activity was instrumental in addressing unresolved HR issues within our foundation.”
This partnership reflects the CBAA’s commitment to extending its expertise beyond academia, contributing to the improvement of organizational practices within the community.
