HREAP, HRSAP-National forge partnership with HRSAP-UNP Chapter

The Human Resource Educators’ Association of the Philippines, Inc. (HREAP) and the Human Resource Students’ Association of the Philippines (HRSAP) National formalized a groundbreaking partnership with the Human Resource Students’ Association of the Philippines – UNP Chapter through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed on January 23, 2024 at the UNP-Hostel Function Hall. This collaboration aims to elevate human resource education and foster professional development, providing students with expanded opportunities to thrive in the field of human resources.

The event is a significant milestone for the University of Northern Philippines (UNP), as the HRSAP-UNP Chapter became the first local organization within the institution to initiate a MOA signing of this scale. Faculty members, along with junior and senior Human Resource Development Management (HRDM) students, gathered to witness this historic occasion, marking a new era of collaboration and growth for the chapter.

Mr. Paul Kenneth T. Flores, Project Coordinator of HREAP Inc., detailed the MOA, highlighting its benefits for HRDM students. One of the standout features of the agreement is the provision of internship opportunities at the national level, offering valuable exposure and avenues for professional growth.

Distinguished speakers graced the program, including Dr. Natalie Almero, Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies; Dr. Scott Jason Llanes, Program Head of Doctor of Business Administration program; and Dr. Princess Neptalia R. Quebral, Program Head of HRDM. Each shared inspirational messages, praising the chapter’s dedication and encouraging students to embrace the opportunities offered by the partnership.

Mr. John Elison Caricungan, President of the HRSAP-UNP Chapter,  remarked on the importance of the partnership, commending the organizers and national-level delegates for their commitment to advancing the goals of the chapter.

Adding a personal touch to the event, the CHRA Testimonial session, themed “A Journey Towards Professional Growth and Empowered Me,” featured two guest speakers: Mr. Joshua Adolfo, CHRA, and Ms. Lovely Mar Castillo-Manalang, CHRA. Their inspiring success stories motivated students to persevere in their academic and career aspirations, demonstrating the potential impact of the partnership.

The event also included the oath-taking ceremony for the HRSAP-UNP Chapter officers for the 2024–2025 term, officiated by Prof. Perry David L. Salosa, Director for Membership of HREAP Inc. The new officers’ commitment to leadership and excellence was evident, promising a bright future for the chapter.

The program concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Marvin Keith R. Sosa, Adviser of the HRSAP-UNP Chapter, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the participants, organizers, and partners. He highlighted the event’s significance as a unified effort to promote leadership, professional growth, and the advancement of human resource education on a national scale.

This landmark event reflects the shared vision of HREAP Inc., HRSAP National, and the HRSAP-UNP Chapter to cultivate empowered and competent human resource leaders. It stands as a testament to their dedication to fostering excellence in human resource education and professional development.
