The College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) hosted its 4th Student Research Congress and 4th Student Poster Research Presentation on May 7 at the CBAA Mini Library. These annual academic events displayed the research excellence of CBAA students, highlighting studies that combine analytical depth, innovation, and relevance to current business and community issues.
Four research papers stood out in the Student Research Congress. “Leveraging Data Analytics in Auditing: Assessing Auditors’ Perception and Knowledge” examined the growing role of technology in audit practices, while “Bridging the Gap: Evaluating Vendor-Managed Inventory Practices in Retailer-Supplier Relationships” focused on improving supply chain efficiency. In the feasibility category, “TalentPro Training Center” proposed a skills development hub to address workforce needs, and “NegoSolutions Consulting Services” introduced a consultancy firm aimed at supporting micro and small enterprises.
In the Poster Research Presentation, three studies earned top recognition. “Regulatory Compliance of Micro and Small Businesses in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur” explored policy adherence among local entrepreneurs. “Mannalon Agricultural Credit Cooperative (Mac-Coop)” presented a community-based financing model for Ilocano farmers, while “Attitudes Towards Business Ethics Among Hotel Employees in Vigan City” examined ethical workplace practices in the hospitality sector.
These achievements underscore the college’s commitment to nurturing socially responsive and research-oriented graduates. The winning teams will go on to stand for CBAA at the university-level research congress, where they will compete with the best research entries from other academic units of the University of Northern Philippines.
