The recent Institutional Accreditation Survey Visit by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities (AACCUP) at the University of Northern Philippines (UNP) took place from December 9 to 11, 2024. The insights gained from such evaluations are instrumental in guiding future improvements and innovations in teaching and learning practices.

Dr. Myrna Mallari, the team leader of the AACCUP accreditation visit at UNP, highlighted the role of accreditation in fostering educational excellence. She emphasized that accreditation not only enhances institutional processes but also creates an environment that supports student success. This affirmation underscores the commitment of educational institutions to maintain high standards and continuously improve its offerings.

Additionally, the efforts of the Quality Management Office, led by Dr. Eva Marie Avila, were acknowledged for their significant contributions throughout the accreditation process. Dr. Avila’s team has been instrumental in preparing the University for this rigorous evaluation, ensuring that all necessary documentation and practices were in place to meet AACCUP’s standards.

The feedback from AACCUP will be valuable in shaping future educational strategies and ensuring that UNP continues to deliver quality education that meets both local and international standards.
